It means being stiff, polished or maybe even robotic for some people, but really professionalism is about being the best, most genuine version of ourselves.

So I want to jump into this idea that people so really this is going to come from reflections again on my experience around PodFest and some other conversations in the podcasting world.

However, I'm going to do my best to relate this to the coaching and entrepreneurship as well, not specific to podcasts, but you'll see some nuances as I try, not as I try as I start talking through some of these ideas.

I want to do some, I guess, contrasting, just to give you some insights specific to coaching versus podcasting in general.

People I've talked to, people I've observed, seem to have this tendency to jump straight to the fancy strategies, the what's hot today and how can I rapidly improve this thing, whether it's growing your podcast audience, whether it's growing your coaching client or your booking list, however you want to label that.

You know, growing your list of clients or whatever it may be.

But you know, should I go to a video first, podcast on YouTube, or should I stick with audio only?

And you know, jumping into these strategies is what I've been seeing a lot of in my experience.

Maybe not the same for you if you attended some of these events, but my experience was that the sessions facilitated at Podfest, as an example, were really enabling this idea right.

Most of them were advanced strategies for content, for audience growth, for monetization, for you name it and none of them focused on what I think is most important, and that is this idea that success starts with you.

It was like fumbling through the first steps If I were an infant an infant's not going to take first steps, a toddler taking my first steps that's sort of what it felt like on the first few days and first few times that I was showing up, but I challenged myself to 30 days consistently showing up on live streams because, well, honestly, I wanted to create some engagement number one at the time this was several years ago but I also wanted to get more comfortable on the camera and on the microphone and let me tell you, it was scary at first, but so much fun in the end and created some great connections as a result, heard some outstanding stories along the way and it was really a good time in the end.

Now for coaches and entrepreneurs, this looks a lot like sharpening your mindset.
